3 September 2012 - A Choir Is Born!
Community Voices held its inaugural Open Day on Sunday 2nd September and was overwhelmed by the response! Over 70 of the 100+ people who signed up and expressed a desire to join the new choir came to the event and to find out more.
Vince Collins gave a presentation explaining what the choir is trying to achieve, how it would get there and what people would get from becoming a member. After a Q&A session where people were able to get answers to their own individual queries, everyone was able to get to know each other, mingle and join in having a cup of tea. There then followed a session lead by our Musical Director, Nathan Toseland. In only 30 minutes, Nathan instructed the attendees through a piece of music, culminating in 3-part singing!
Rehearsals start Monday 3rd September, 7:30pm prompt.
