Following our last committee meeting, (in the flesh for the first time since COVID-19) we’d like to let you know that although we aren’t yet able to get back to singing together, we WILL be having our AGM on Monday 18th October, 7.30 at the Baptist Church. (You may remember we had it via Zoom last year.)
It won’t be a very long meeting but we need to have at least 35% of our membership there to have a quorum.(And it will also be really nice for us all to actually see each other again) Because of this, it would be very useful for us to know whether you are all still wanting to be listed as a member of the ECV choir. We will assume yes……… but please let us know by email if you no longer feel able to attend choir once we get back to singing together. That way we can calculate an accurate quorum number for the AGM. Thank you. We expect to be able to give a start date for our recommencement at the AGM and are thinking that maybe initially we will meet for one hour without a break…..to ease back in…..since so many of us won’t have been doing any singing for about 18 months!! And of course, at the AGM we will be looking for members who would like to be a part of the committee. If you haven’t been on the committee before please consider volunteering for a role. We always welcome new blood, or old hands! The choir can’t function without the help given by committee members and additional helpers for the various jobs that present themselves. So please send us an email to register your willingness to join in. Some of our current committee members are stepping down. We have The Secretary, Assistant Musical Director and 1 x Choir Member posts to fill and hope there will be a few of you who recognise your own skills to take on one of these important roles. Please send us an email telling us which you’d like to volunteer for as soon as possible!! Looking forward to seeing as many of you as possible on 18th October.
