It has been lovely to see so many of you return to choir and welcome our new musical director, David Bray. We have had some great rehearsals where our technique has been honed and we have tested our memories by learning new songs, without the words!
We will be demonstrating our new skills on Monday 19th December when you can invite friends and family for a short ' concert' at the end of Mondays session at 9pm. This will be the last session before Christmas. Choir will then resume on Monday 9th January.

Following our committee meeting, it is confirmed that choir sessions will continue on Monday evenings throughout the summer holidays. Please continue to come if you can to keep the choir open for everybody.
The sessions will run for one hour only during this period, starting at 7:30pm. New members are always welcome. We are pleased to be able to announce that we will be able to return to choir on Monday 9th May, and that masks will not be required.
Doors will be open for 7.30pm and we look forward to seeing you all then. Sadly, the Committee had to make the decision to cancel the 2020 concerts. Rehearsals are also suspended until further notice. In a similar vein, our chosen charity for 2020, Long Buckby Library & Hub, will miss out on funds we would have raised this year. We have therefore agreed that we will carry over the charity to 2021 (and any funds raised later in 2020 will be a bonus).
Thank you to all the Elation members who worked so hard to prepare for our wonderful summer concert, and a special thank you to our acting musical director, Andrew Howes.
We are taking a break during August, but would love to welcome any new members who would like to come along when rehearsals start again on 2nd September. After a short break over Christmas, we will be starting rehearsals again at 7:30pm on Monday 7th January.
You are welcome to come along - please see our Rehearsals and FAQ pages for more infomation. |
